I don't really care to "blog" in the traditional sense. I tend to read far more than I give out. I'll be posting comments I find online and on Townhall that I feel are particularly noteworthy here.
Sometimes my own comments left on a blog, sometimes someone else's. Either way, if I like it, this is where it will be.
I participated in the Iowa Straw Poll this weekend, and voted for Tom Tancredo and brought 3 other votes with me. I stand strong with Tancredo.
This is a poster's commentary on the Straw Poll results that I found accurate and enlightened-
Winners:
Huckabee - This was his breakout showing. Tancredo - Remarkably finishes 4th although he did campaign pretty hard in IA.
Losers:
Brownback - He spent significantly more than Huckabee with the same platform and still couldn't beat him. He needs to drop out of the race
T Thompson - Visited all 99 counties and only finished 6th. He's gone.
Hunter - Awful.
Neutral:
Romney - He tried to buy every vote and didn't win by that much. You can't call the guy a loser for finishing in first but he was hardly dominant considering the number of "supporters" he had.
Paul - Supporters blew everyone away in passion and number but apparently they don't live in Iowa. 5th is a respectable finish but nothing amazing. I'm not really surprised he finished behind Brownback and Huckabee, I am surprised he couldn't beat Tancredo. If Paul had started campaigning in Iowa a couple weeks earlier he probably finishes 4th instead. |
